Joey started P1 on the front row for his qualifying heat race, and was able to hold that spot and pick up the win. Joey started 7th in the main event, he slowly worked his way to the front, cautions worked in his favor as early race leader Dave Cain had pulled away from the field. He eventually worked his way to the 2nd position and made numerous attempts to pass leader Dave Cain, with 4 laps to go and both drivers wanting the same groove on the track the 2 cars came together resulting in the V2 being charged with the caution. Joey ended up in the 7th spot when the checkered flag flew.

The V2 crew carried over Friday nights winning ways onto Saturday, Joey won his heat race and the “A” main Saturday. The feature was a game of patience, there were many cautions in the first few laps, but once the field of 24 settled in, it was the Jensen/Gross show up front as the 2 began to distance themselves from the field. As gross exited turn 2 he slid up the track a bit and this allowed Joey to sneak by underneath and he never looked back taking his 2nd checkered flag of the weekend!!

He started 4th again in the nights feature race, after trying several different lines around the track the GRT by Phillips was finally dialed in and he was able to catch the leader with about 4 laps to go and eventually make the pass for the win!!
